This is a unique white ceramic match striker with a pebbled texture and red door! Shaped like a house (even has a front door and windows!), this little bungalow holds roughly 40 matches and has a rough striking surface on the roof. This little house works with any "strike anywhere" matches.
Made from stoneware clay, and fired at cone 6, I use non-toxic underglaze for color and a non-toxic glaze finish. The striking surface is easily wiped clean with a wet rag.
This piece has a larger hole to hold the matches, and a smaller hole to discard used matches. This would be the perfect unique addition to a holiday mantle over the fireplace, or a unique birthday gift.
This will be carefully packaged in upcycled wrapping materials.
