This is the most diverse little rainbow village I've made yet. I love the fronts of every house with a moon, sunshine, scallops and hearts. Every house has a different personality with intricate details. The largest house (yellow door) is 1 3/4 inches tall. When put together, this village measures just over four inches wide. These are made from solid clay and fired at cone 6. I use non-toxic underglazes for color and a non-toxic clear glaze finish.
What would one do with a little village of clay houses? This would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift for any mom who likes artistically unique things! People often use them for terrarium decor. Some incorporate them into fairy garden landscapes. These would also be a wonderful housewarming gift or a unique get well present. They look adorably unassuming perched on a shelf, but will be the first thing guests ask about!
These will be carefully packaged in bubble wrap.
Materials - Stoneware Clay, Nontoxic Glaze
All of my ceramics are handmade by me in Columbia, MO
All materials used are non-toxic
Based in Columbia, Missouri, I am a small batch potter! I work at my local neighborhood studio and work in ceramics as often as I can until my summer job as a wedding photographer starts up! If you are local to Columbia, feel free to reach out. Ceramics are such a tactile thing, and I'm always happy to show my work in person if possible! ;)
