This is a tiny modern ceramic village with four houses. The tallest house is 1 3/4 inches and has a scalloped Victorian style roof. There is also a little cobblestone house and a house with a moon and stars. Each of these houses has its own personality with intricate details that beg a closer look.
These are made from stoneware clay, and fired at cone 6. All of these houses are solid clay, so they have a heavy, sturdy feel in the hand. I use non-toxic underglazes for color and a non-toxic clear glaze finish.
What would one do with a modern village of white clay houses? They look adorably unassuming perched on a shelf. People often use them for terrarium decor or fairy garden landscapes. These would also make a great birthday gift or Christmas gift for someone who loves small, artistically weird things! :)
These will be carefully packaged in bubble wrap.
