This is a four inch tall ceramic bud vase with an adorable Labrador style dog on the front and a tiny cat in the first window. This house has a rainbow pattern of scallop baubles along the roof line and a single drilled hole (fully glazed to be water tight) to hold a little bouquet of flowers, a pencil or a few feathers! I love the instant joy this little vase brings! I also love the textured cobblestone back of this house, with an inset crescent moon.
These houses are made from stoneware ceramic clay and have a heavy, sturdy feel in the hand. I use non-toxic underglazes for color and a non-toxic clear glaze finish.
What would one do with whimsical house shaped bud vase with a dog and cat? This would look adorably unassuming perched on a shelf. This would also be a wonderful gift for a special teacher over the holidays.
