This is a unique ceramic match striker house with a cat on the front. It holds roughly 50 matches and has a rough brick textured striking surface on the roof. This house design is inspired by the little houses on the Irish countryside. This house works with any "strike anywhere" matches.
Made from stoneware clay, and fired at cone 6, I use non-toxic underglaze for color and a non-toxic glaze finish.
This piece has a larger hole to hold the matches, and a smaller hole to discard used matches. This would be the perfect unique addition to a mantle or a birthday gift for that cat lover in your life.
This will be carefully packaged in upcycled wrapping materials.
