This is a weirdly whimsical village of four ceramic houses, each with its own unique personality! There is a moon, a curving path of windows and a tiny cat in the window! The largest house (second pictured) is 2 inches tall. The second house has an owl hiding on the back. These are made from stoneware clay, and fired at cone 6. I use non-toxic underglazes for color and a non-toxic clear glaze finish.
When put together, this village measures five inches wide by almost four inches tall.
What would one do with a little village of clay houses? This would be a wonderful get well gift to bring joy to anyone who needs it. People often use them for terrarium decor. Some incorporate them into fairy garden landscapes. These would also be a great housewarming gift or a unique birthday present. They look adorably unassuming perched on a shelf, but will be the first thing guests ask about!
These will be carefully packaged in bubble wrap.
Materials - Stoneware Clay, Nontoxic Glaze
All of my ceramics are handmade by me in Columbia, MO
All materials used are non-toxic
Based in Columbia, Missouri, I am a small batch potter! I work at my local neighborhood studio and work in ceramics as often as I can until my summer job as a wedding photographer starts up! If you are local to Columbia, feel free to reach out. Ceramics are such a tactile thing, and I'm always happy to show my work in person if possible! ;)
