This is a unique ceramic match striker with a whimsical cloud rainbow design! Shaped like a house with a magical staircase leading up through the clouds to a tiny door, this little bungalow holds roughly 35 matches and has a rough striking surface on the roof. The little window on the front also has a tiny cat! I love the trailing rainbow of dots through the clouds. This house also has a crescent moon on the back.
Made from stoneware clay, and fired at cone 6, I use non-toxic underglaze for color and a non-toxic glaze finish. This house is also blind stamped with my makers mark on the back. This house uses "Strike Anywhere" matches, which are sold separately because I can't legally ship them!
This little striker is 2 3/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. It has a two holes to hold the matches, and a rough striking surface on the roof. This would be the perfect unique addition to a holiday mantle over the fireplace, or a unique birthday gift.
This will be carefully packaged in upcycled wrapping materials.
