These are my absolute favorite bud vases I've made yet. The first house-shaped vase has a raindrop pattern on the front, clouds, a yellow door and swirling dragonflies around the house. The second house has a cobblestone texture on the front and sides, with an ombre rainbow pattern! The cobblestone house is SO satisfying to touch. Each house has a single drilled hole and is fully glazed inside to hold a flower in water, or a feather or pencil!
Both of these bud vase houses are roughly 3 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches deep. These are made from solid clay, and they have a heavy, sturdy feel in the hand. I use non-toxic underglazes for color and a non-toxic clear glaze finish.
What would one do with a ceramic house bud vase? This would look adorably unassuming perched on a shelf. People often use them for get well gifts or housewarming gifts. This would make an awesome architect gift or "no reason" gift.
This will be carefully packaged in upcycled wrapping to ensure a safe delivery.
